《Making Sense》彙整並呈現 ECAL／University of Art and Design Lausanne 十年間在藝術與設計領域的研究成果。內容涵蓋研究計畫的整體概述，以及多項計畫的精選介紹，並收錄 ECAL 教授與國際重要學者之間，圍繞設計與藝術研究所展開的深度對談。
為紀念 ECAL 遷入瑞南（Renens）現址十週年，並同時標誌 EPFL+ECAL Lab 成立十週年，ECAL 主辦了一場以「藝術與設計研究」為主題的國際研討會。研討會邀集來自世界各地的藝術家、設計師與學者，與 ECAL 教師進行交流對話。ECAL 亦於研討會期間正式推出本書《Making Sense：ECAL 藝術與設計研究十年》。
